We took our motorcycle out for a spin in the New Mexico desert. We drove from our campground at Brantley Lake State Park to the Dog Canyon entrance of Guadalupe Mountains, National Park. This entrance is actually in the state of Texas, right on the New Mexico-Texas border.
This area has a small campground with minimal resources and lovely deserted hiking trails to different box canyons. Some of these canyons are the location of historical gun fights sites between native Indian Tribes and U.S. soldiers. It is remote and far removed from civilization.
