We did the self guided tour of Carlsbad Caverns and it took most of the entire day and was well worth it. This is a 'bucket list' kind of experience.
This national park contains over 110 different caves. Our tour started at the natural entrance where the bats exit every evening and ended in the Big Room. Words cannot do justice to what these caves look like you just have to experience them for yourself.
Our pictures are not the best because we took them without a flash since the flash did not capture the larger scope of the view due to the shadows it produced. But the slow shutter time without a flash ended up with slightly blurred pics since we didn't bring the tripod.
