Destin FL, Fishing Museum

We went to the Destin Fishing Museum. It is a small museum with a $5.00 entry fee a person but I must say it is worth it if you like fishing and history. They have a great display of the fish you can catch in this area, Earnest Hemingway's fishing pole, and comprehensive coverage of the Destin Fishing Rodeo held during the month of October. I plan to come back to this area just to see that rodeo. Every Saturday is the biggest shark contest and they bring in some brutes.

If you visit this museum make sure you peruse slowly and read all the displays to make it worth the entry fee and I think you will be more than satisfied.

Yummy Pompano!

Hello Out in Cyberspace

This is my first blog ever! I am just about 50 years old and this is to prove to myself that I can grow and change and still learn :).

This focus of this blog will be on my lifestyle being a fulltiming RVer. A lifestyle I have dreamed about for the past  30 years and it has now become a reality and is as wonderful as I imagined. The freedom is intoxicating.

We are currently in Gulf Breeze, Florida. Today we went fishing at Navarre Beach and caught three large Pompano. Yummy. Florida considers this one of the top fish for sport value and food value. This is the best fish I have ever eaten. It literally tastes like snow crab legs that has swimming in butter.
